Who to start? Romo vs. Was or Alex Smith vs. Det?

Romo has been terrible vs Was but hes had several weeks of good games and espn predicts him to break the trend of poor games vs Was since they just got blown out by the giants. Smith has done well against poor defenses. I have a lot of money riding on this game so please good advice with reasons why. thanks!
