Is White vinegar same as distilled malt vinegar or white wine vinegar?

I find it hard to believe since the most common vinegar is distilled white vinegar. The others will work but contain some sugars that can leave a sticky residue but you are rinsing anyway. I have never seen distilled Malt vinegar. Just Malt vinegar, essentially made from beer.
