Why is my daughter slobbering so much when a couple weeks ago she didnt?

and now she is starting to suck on her hand instead of her chopone(pacifier) but she is not sucking on her thumb or even looking for it..and this makes her slobber even more....any one know y this happens???? or is going through it right now
