Looking for a book I read by Joan Lowery Nixon?

I cannot remember the title so maybe someone can help me out....What i remember is there were these girls and they went to this "bording school" but the owner only chose a few people so that they could get the spirits into the girls...i'm not sure somthing like that. Help me out. Thanks.
