What to pack for a psych ward?And what will it be like?

I might be going into a psych ward in the next few days and wonderd what things i can take in with me, will i be able to take my phone and laptop?, will i be able to have yarn and crochet hooks, as its one of my best hobbies. can i have a light on at night? will i be able to smoke? im 21 so it would be a aduilt one...so any help would be nice im in the uk also, please let me know asap!!!
