Can I get fit without being a calorie counter?

Yes I beleive you can. Maybe you can try some kind of circut training a few times a week. I go to Curves and I lost 17lbs in 3 months and you eat a lot healthier than me. I think the combination of strength training and cardio are great. Check out curves.com and you can see what it's all about.
